Following a significant fire that devastated a farmhouse in Galston, McGregor Projects was appointed by Sedgwick to undertake the full design and rebuild of the property. Our team began by carrying out detailed structural surveys to assess the integrity of the remaining fabric and ensure site safety. Working closely with all stakeholders, we developed design proposals to sensitively reinstate the home while preserving its character.

The works included extensive roof reconstruction, stone restoration to match the original materials, full joinery, electrical rewiring, plumbing repairs, installation of new fixtures and fittings, and complete internal redecoration. Throughout the process, McGregor Projects maintained consistent communication and progress reporting, ensuring the family’s home was fully restored to a high standard with care and attention to detail.
